Knew bindings inside out but stretched doorways wrong for 5 years

I got called out to a house in Nashville last Thursday. Homeowner watched me cut and seam for an hour. Then she pointed at my doorway cuts and said "you're supposed to wrap those, right?" I froze. I had been butting the carpet right at the door frame edge since I started. Never learned the wrap method. She pulled up a YouTube video on her phone. Showed me the whole process in 3 minutes. Felt like an idiot. Anyone else have a basic move they just never picked up?.

Jumped straight to the "this is how I've always done it" excuse mode. I can't BELIEVE the homeowner had to teach you a 3 minute YouTube trick you missed for FIVE YEARS. That show wrap is literally where the whole room comes together and makes you look like you know what you're doing.
