Last Tuesday was my worst carpet day in 5 years

I was installing a nice broadloom in a living room in Tacoma and the seam tape just wouldn't stick right. The floor was clean but the glue from the tape kept balling up after I pressed it down with my knee kicker. Had to rip out a 12 foot seam and redo it twice before lunch. Anyone else had trouble with certain tape brands acting weird in cold weather?

@amy_coleman21 yeah it's a real thing, some tapes just turn into gum in cold weather.

Hate it when that happens. Cold weather makes some tape brands totally useless, had that same balling up issue with a roll last winter.
