My new diet of only beef jerky on jobs left me seeing spots in the pile

Turns out low blood sugar and pattern matching don't mix well.

Maybe you should switch to jerky that doesn't make you trip at work.

Ugh, that reminds me of this weird jerky I tried that tasted like old leather.

Tasted like old leather" makes me wonder if they skipped the meat and just dried out a belt. Some of those budget brands use such tough cuts, you need pliers to tear it. Once bit into a piece that snapped back like a rubber band. Probably why it lasts so long on gas station shelves.
