Pro tip: Don't cheap out on tack strips like I did

I spent $30 on those bargain bin tack strips from a big box store last month and now I'm pulling up a whole room because the pins bent and snapped during installation. The customer's dog already stepped on a loose piece and yelped, so I had to eat the cost of replacing it with the good $60 stuff from my local supply house. Anyone else learned this lesson the hard way?

Man those cheap strips are the WORST. I made the same mistake on a buddy's house and the staples didn't even hold, just popped right out when we tried to stretch the carpet. Definitely worth paying double for the good ones that actually grab and hold tight.
