PSA: That 'quick' carpet seam repair on a curved staircase took me 5 hours

Everyone talks about how simple seam repairs are, but I spent a whole afternoon on a single curved step because the backing kept curling up. Tried three different adhesives before I got one to hold. Has anyone else dealt with backing separation on radius stairs?

Nah, I actually think curved stairs are way easier to work on than straight runs, you just gotta use a heavy duty heat-activated tape instead of glue. That backing curl usually means you're fighting the wrong adhesive for the job.

Buddy of mine tried that tape trick on his own stairs and ended up ripping half the backing off wrong, what a mess.
