That $180 toe kick saw I ignored for 2 years finally bit me

Ngl, I always thought the toe kick saw was a luxury buy since I mostly did open rooms. Last Tuesday I got a kitchen job with a 12 foot peninsula and brand new cabs already set. I figured I could trim the tack strip with a jigsaw and save the cash. Three hours of scraped knuckles and one busted blade later, I drove to Home Depot and grabbed a $180 one. It cut through that undercab strip like butter in about 20 minutes flat. The worst part is my helper kept saying "shoulda got it Monday" and he was right. Any of y'all swear by a cheaper brand that works just as good, or am I stuck with this thing for life?

Did you really haul that thing out for three hours just to save yourself one trip?
