That seam roller change of heart after a finicky wool job

I used to think a heavy 3-inch seam roller was overkill, but last month on a plush wool install in Portland, the client watched me struggle with a lighter one and just handed me theirs. He said, "the weight does the work, the wrist just guides it," and honestly that 10 seconds changed my whole approach. Anyone else switch tools mid-job based on a customer's offhand comment?

That "the weight does the work" line is spot on. I had the same thing happen with a trowel once, a customer just watched me and said "let the tool be heavy." I've used the heavier ones ever since. Sometimes it takes a stranger's two cents to snap you out of your routine. Glad you got the upgrade before the job went sideways.
