Turning pulled-up carpet into something useful again
Set up a simple system to send all my old carpet to a local recycling center. The client was happy to choose a greener option, and it only took a few extra minutes. Nice to see the material get another chance instead of just trashing it.

Good call on recycling it! That carpet pad makes GREAT floor mats for messy home projects, or even extra padding in a workshop. Seriously such a tough material to just waste, makes way more sense to cycle it back somehow.

My workshop is a disaster area, so @carr.elliot's idea is genius. Once tried using an old blanket as a drop cloth and ended up with more paint on the floor. Guess I need that tough carpet pad to save me from myself.
