I blew $45 on a bootleg Captain Crunch mascot costume and wore it to a 5k in Tampa
I found a guy online selling a knockoff Cap'n Crunch suit for $45 and figured it would be a funny bit for the cereal-themed 5k in Tampa two weekends ago. The hat fell apart by mile one and the whole thing smelled like a wet basement, so I ran the last two miles holding a floppy foam hat and getting yelled at by kids who said I got the hat wrong. Did anyone else buy a cheap cereal mascot costume and actually get their money's worth, or did I just set $45 on fire like an idiot?
