Pro tip: Cap'n Crunch's eyebrows have changed 4 times since 1963 and nobody talks about it
I was digging through some old cereal boxes at a flea market in Toledo a couple weeks ago and found a 1971 Cap'n Crunch box for $8. When I got it home I put it next to my 1985 box and the eyebrows were totally different shapes. So I went down a rabbit hole and counted at least 4 major eyebrow changes over the decades, from bushy and angry looking to the thinner arch he has now. The weird part is the hat and uniform stay pretty much the same, it's just the brows that keep shifting. Everyone in this community always argues about Tony the Tiger's stripes or whether Lucky is too skinny now, but I think the Crunch brows are the real underrated detail. Most people probably never noticed because the face is small on the shelf. Has anyone else spotted a mascot detail like this that got quietly changed without a big announcement?
