A random guy at the coffee shop totally fixed my portfolio layout

I was working on my portfolio at this cafe in Austin about three months ago, just staring at the same three project layouts. This older guy at the next table leaned over and said, 'Sorry to bother you, but your work is great, it just looks a bit crowded.' He pointed out I was using too many different fonts and sizes, which made it feel messy. I cut it down to just two fonts that day and reorganized everything to have more space. My booking rate went up by like 20% in the next month, which is huge for me. Has anyone else had a stranger give you advice that actually worked out?

Right? It's like we're all waiting for some outside fix instead of just dealing with our own mess.
