I used to think talking to strangers on the bus was pointless

I mean, for years I'd just put my headphones on and stare out the window. Then about 8 months ago, this older woman sat next to me and asked about the book I was reading. We talked for the whole 20-minute ride into downtown. She ended up being a retired librarian and gave me a list of three authors I'd never heard of. Now I actually look up from my phone sometimes, and I've had a few cool little chats since then. It's weird how a random 20 minutes can change your habit like that. Has anyone else had a small talk moment that actually stuck with you?

Imagine the stories you've missed.

You ever read that thing about the guy who found a box of old letters in his attic? Whole lives just sitting there.

Totally. It's like how we all have old phones in drawers with photos no one will ever see. Makes you wonder what gets lost, right?
