Met a guy at a bus stop who changed how I look for jobs

Was complaining about my resume getting zero hits. He said to put skills right under my name, not buried at the bottom. Got a call back the next week. Anyone else try a simple formatting switch that actually worked?

Switched to bullet points for my skills and got three interviews, it's crazy how much that helps.

Absolutely do this. I switched to a skills section right at the top and it made a huge difference. Recruiters spend seconds on a resume, so you need to hit them with what you can do immediately. I also started using clear, bold headers for each part of my work history. It sounds basic, but a clean, easy to scan format gets you past the first look.

Three interviews just from changing to bullet points? That's wild, I need to try that right now. My resume is still a wall of text in paragraphs and it's probably getting tossed immediately. It makes sense though, nobody has time to read a whole story when they're flipping through hundreds of these. I'm going to redo mine tonight and just list everything out clearly. What kind of skills did you put at the very top?
