I was waiting for the 26 bus last Tuesday after a rough day at my retail job, holding a bag of returns I was going to flip online. Paul started chatting about how he noticed the vintage lamp I had sticking out of my bag. He told me he found a similar one at a garage sale in Lakewood for $3 and sold it on eBay for $85, and he showed me the listing on his phone. I always thought that kind of thing was a scam or just luck, but he had a folder of screenshots, maybe 40 sales, and said he spends about 5 hours a week on it. Does anyone else have a chance meeting that turned into a real side gig, or am I the only one who had no clue this was so doable?
