Met my new neighbor because my cat stole his sandwich

I was sitting on my porch in Austin last week when my cat, Mango, ran by with a whole turkey sandwich in his mouth. I chased him across the street, right into the path of this guy who just looked at his empty plate and said, "Well, I guess that's lunch." We spent the next hour laughing about it over coffee, and now we have a standing Tuesday movie night. Has anyone else had a pet cause a weirdly good first meeting?
