My car battery died in the Target parking lot on Tuesday

I was stuck for almost an hour before a guy named Dave, who was just getting coffee, stopped to help. He had jumper cables in his truck and got me going again. We got to talking and it turns out he runs a small pottery studio downtown. Now I'm signed up for a beginner's wheel class next month. Has anyone else made a cool new friend from a totally random bad situation?

My 2007 Civic blew a tire on I-95 in a downpour. I learned to always keep a rain poncho and a big flashlight in the trunk. The cheap one from the gas station saved me that night. Now I check my spare tire pressure every time I get an oil change.

Honestly that's the best way to find a good one. If they show up in bad weather and don't overcharge, you keep them for life. My guy has been fixing my car for ten years now.
