Overheard a stranger at the coffee shop talking about how they quit a job because of a parking spot
I was grabbing a latte at this little cafe on 3rd Street last Wednesday when some guy at the next table told his friend he quit his job because his coworker kept stealing his assigned parking spot. He said it happened like 12 times before he finally snapped and walked out. It got me thinking about how sometimes the smallest, dumbest things can push you to make a big change. Has anyone else quit something over something that seemed silly at the time?

Man, that's wild but I get it completely... I read something similar online where a guy quit after his boss made him use a different bathroom than everyone else. It's not really about the parking spot or the bathroom, it's about respect and feeling like you matter. Sometimes the small things just add up and your brain goes "nope, I'm done" before you even realize it. I think a lot of people have that one silly straw that breaks them.

12 parking spots and 3 different bathrooms later, sounds like that company was just collecting reasons for people to leave. I bet the boss thought he was being "fair" by making everyone use different bathrooms, but really he was just running an experiment on how fast you can make someone quit. Did that guy at least take a final dump in the nice bathroom on his way out?

Honestly @uma_martinez that final dump idea is the kind of petty revenge I can get behind. Tbh the boss probably thought he was being "efficient" but really just built a workplace theme park of bad decisions. Ngl waiting for the sequel where someone quits over the color of the break room microwave.
