Random seat mate at a diner in Boise fixed my dead battery

My car wouldn't start outside a Denny's on Overland Road last month. A guy eating alone saw me popping the hood and came out with jumper cables, told me my terminals were corroded. He cleaned them with a brush he kept in his trunk, and it fired right up. I offered him $20 but he just asked for a coffee refill, has anyone else had a stranger help out when you least expected it?

That coffee refill thing got me. Same kind of vibe happened to me outside a gas station in Twin Falls. A guy saw me staring at my engine like it was a puzzle and just walked over with a socket wrench. Tightened my battery cable in like two minutes. Wouldn't take cash either, just asked if I had a minute to help him load some firewood into his truck.
