That guy at the dog park who told me to stop buying expensive dog food was totally wrong
Met this older fella at Riverside Park last month, he noticed I was feeding my lab some premium brand. He laughed and said 'just grab the store brand, dogs don't care, it's all the same.' So I tried it for two weeks and my dog got this weird dull coat and started scratching all the time. Vet said it was a lack of certain oils. Went back to the expensive stuff and she's fine now. Anyone else ever get bad advice from a random stranger that backfired?

That vet bill probably cost more than the dog food savings, huh? I've seen the same thing happen with my buddy's golden retriever after he switched to a cheaper kibble. Good on you for trusting your gut and your vet over some random guy at the park.

Respectfully @reese124, cheap food can work fine for plenty of healthy dogs if you read the label.
