That random guy at the bus stop taught me how to fix my own bike chain
I was stuck on 5th and Main for like 20 minutes trying to figure out why my chain kept slipping, and this older dude just walked over and showed me the proper tension trick in about 2 minutes. Saved me $40 at the shop and now I always check my derailleur before I ride.

Man, I totally get that feeling of being stuck and someone just helping out of nowhere. @miles279 is right, those little tips from random folks can save you a ton of hassle and money. It's cool how a 2 minute lesson can make you way more confident with your own bike.
