The dry cleaner on 5th told me to keep my own hangers and it changed how I buy shirts
I used to leave my hangers with the cleaner every week out of habit, until the guy at the counter on 5th Street asked me to take them home instead. He showed me that returning my own hangers saves his shop about $40 a month, and he knocked 25 cents off each shirt for me as a thank you. Now I buy the cheap plastic ones in bulk and keep a basket by the door so they always go back with me. Small thing, but my closet stays tidy and my bill dropped about $6 a month. Anyone else have a regular errand spot where a worker gave you a tip that stuck?
