Accidentally used the wrong drill bit on a concrete job in Arlington

I was installing shelf brackets in a basement last month and grabbed a wood bit instead of masonry by mistake. The bit dulled instantly and I had to drive 20 minutes to Home Depot mid-job for a new set. Has anyone else made a dumb tool swap like that and had the day totally derailed?

Man, that's rough. I've absolutely done the same thing before and it's frustrating how fast you realize the mistake once you pull the trigger. The worst part is the drive back to the store knowing you could've been done by now. At least you caught it before you wrecked the bit completely or burned up the motor on your drill. Hope the second trip at least went smooth.

Nah, you won't wreck the motor, just stall it out if you push too hard.
