Bought a $15 car wash kit on a whim, actually worked better than the automatic places
I usually just run my sedan through the touchless wash down on Main Street, costs me $12 each time. Figured I'd give one of those foam gun kits from the auto parts store a try last Saturday for $15, no special brand or anything. Used it with my garden hose and some cheap soap, and honestly the paint looks smoother than it has in months. No swirl marks, no missed spots on the rear bumper like the machine always leaves. Kinda mad I spent so much at the car wash over the last 2 years now. Anyone else dump money on something that seemed pointless but turned out fine?

and honestly it's like that with a ton of stuff anymore. we pay for convenience and fancy branding when the cheap basic version does the same job or better half the time. i've noticed it with cleaning supplies, tools, even some food prep stuff lately - the simple option just works.

Did you factor in how much water you wasted letting the hose run while scrubbing?
