Found a way to stop my coworkers from using my good scissors

I taped a piece of sandpaper to the handle on my desk scissors and marked them as 'for wire only.' Has anyone else tried labeling stuff to keep people from borrowing it?

Honestly used to think labeling was passive aggressive but now I see the genius in it.

My friend Tom started labeling his shared fridge stuff at work and I thought he was being dramatic. Then I tried it myself after my lunch got swiped three weeks in a row. Now I just write my name on everything with a sharpie and it solved the problem completely. Nobody touches my stuff anymore and I don't have to get mad about it. It's not about being mean, it's just making things clear so there's no confusion. I think people appreciate the honesty more than they let on.

Made the mistake of using hot sauce once as a natural deterrent. Forgot I labeled it after I put the sauce in. Learned that lesson the hard way at lunch.
