Found a weird trick for getting more engagement on my posts - posting at 9:47pm EST on Wednesdays

Been tracking my post times for the last 2 months in a spreadsheet. Out of curiosity I looked at which ones got the most replies and comments. Turns out everything I posted right around 9:47pm Eastern on a Wednesday had way more activity than any other time. Tried it 4 times now and it held up each time. No idea why that specific minute works but something about that window hits different. Anyone else find a random time slot that works weirdly well?

king.aaron said that doomscroll thing and honestly that's so true. my friend jenna told me she accidentally found a similar thing with her food blog posts. she posted a recipe for no bake cookies at like 6:13am on a sunday once because she couldn't sleep and the engagement was insane. people were commenting at like 7am like "this is exactly what i needed today." she tested it a few more times with other late night or early morning random times and it kept happening. it's like hitting this weird sweet spot when people are either too tired to scroll past or they're just starting their day and seeing something fresh.

Stella you're so right about that. I had the same thing happen with my gardening posts. I put up a photo of my tomatoes at like 5am on a Tuesday because I was up watering them before work and it got way more likes than anything I posted during the day. It's like people in those quiet hours are just hungry for something real and simple. I started posting my best stuff at weird random times too and it always does better. There's definitely something to that whole doomscroll timing thing.

Maybe it's just when people settle in to doomscroll before bed.
