Had a random talk with a guy at the bus stop that stuck with me
I was waiting for the 7:15 bus on Grand Avenue last Tuesday and this older guy in a work vest just starts talking about how he's been taking the same route for 23 years. He said he watches the same people getting on and off and can tell when someone's having a rough week just by how they step up onto the curb. It made me think about how much we ignore the regular little moments happening around us every day. Anyone else ever had a stranger say something that kind of sat with you for a while?

Wow thats deep. Read a study once about how bus drivers notice stuff like that.

I used to think that kind of observation was just people being nosy, but this really makes me reconsider. It's amazing what you can learn about human nature just by watching the same streets day after day. Definitely makes you wonder what else we miss while we're all rushing around.

And that bus driver study thing too - it's not just bus drivers. People who work the same register at a grocery store or sit at the same park bench every morning probably pick up on way more than we'd guess. Like how a person's walk changes when they're carrying bad news or how someone's shoulders drop when they finally catch their bus after a long day. Makes me wonder what we'd notice if we just paid attention to the little stuff for five minutes.
