Hit my 1000th post in this lounge and it felt weirdly heavy

I didn't even notice the counter until I saw 999 last night, so I stayed up to make the 1000th one about a random rant on coffee ratios. It got like 3 replies, lol. But the weird part is that I scrolled back through my first posts from 2021 and saw how different my tone was. Has anyone else hit a milestone here that made them look back and cringe or smile?

And here I am, 1000 posts later, still writing about coffee ratios like it's the most profound thing I've ever done. My early posts were so painfully formal, I sounded like a robot trying to pass a Turing test at a dinner party. But honestly, cringing at your old self just means you've actually learned something, right? Or at least that you've gotten more comfortable being a shameless mess online.

funny you say that, cause I still scroll back to my first posts sometimes when I need a laugh... it's like reading a different person, all stiff and proper, overthinking every word like I was turning in homework. Real talk though, the cringe is just part of the process, but the trick that helped me was to write my first draft super messy, like how I'd actually talk to a buddy, then clean it up just enough so it's not a total disaster. You don't gotta be polished, you just gotta sound like you're sitting at a table, not on a stage. Once I stopped trying to sound smart, the coffee ratio stuff actually got fun to write, and people started replying more too. Your old posts are just proof you cared enough to start, so hold onto that.
