Just realized my local library's study room went from dead silent to busy in about 8 months
So I go to the Chatter Lounge at my library in Spokane pretty much every Saturday morning to read, and for like two years it was basically just me and one older guy doing crosswords. Then around October I noticed two college kids with laptops. By January there were five people. Now last Saturday I counted eleven people in there and had to wait for a seat. I asked the librarian at the desk what happened and she said they got a grant for new outlets and a coffee cart in the hall, plus a bunch of remote workers found out. It went from a place where you could hear a pin drop to a place where I had to put in earbuds. Not complaining exactly, it's nice to see the space used, but I do miss the quiet. Has anyone else watched a spot like this flip pretty fast?
