My layover in Amsterdam led to the best lounge conversation

I had a long wait at Schiphol Airport and wandered into a quiet lounge. Struck up a chat with a traveler from Norway about fjord hikes. Ended up swapping tips for hidden spots in Europe. The whole thing turned a boring delay into a highlight. Those random talks really make traveling special.

Which lounges do you usually go for? The smaller ones often have friendlier crowds. I start by asking for a charger or commenting on the snack spread. Keep it light, no heavy stuff. Walk away with a new tip or two for your next trip.

Notice how airport lounges flip the usual social rules on their head. You see people who'd normally avoid small talk sharing seat assignments and free coffee like old friends. It proves we're all just waiting for a place where waiting together doesn't feel so alone.

Airports are weirdly good for those real talks you don't get elsewhere. Something about being stuck in between places makes people open up more. Your story is a perfect example of that.
