Swapped my office chair for a standing desk converter last Tuesday

I spent 8 months using a $250 mesh chair from Staples and my lower back was killing me by noon every day. Finally got a Varidesk ProPlus 48 from a guy on Craigslist for $80 and now I switch between sitting and standing every 45 minutes. Has anyone else tried one of the cheaper brands like FlexiSpot? I'm wondering if they hold up.

Nah man I gotta disagree. I tried a FlexiSpot for about 6 months and the thing wobbled like crazy when I raised it up. Felt like it was gonna tip over every time I leaned on it.

Sat here nodding the whole time reading this. I used to think the wobble thing was just people being dramatic, figured it was user error or a bad floor. Then I borrowed a buddy's for a week and yeah, soon as I got it past like 28 inches, the whole desk was doing a little shimmy every time I typed. Changed my mind real quick on the whole budget standing desk thing.
