The $60 laminator that turned my flyers into melted plastic confetti

I bought this cheap laminator at Staples in Portland to make menus for my food truck event. First three sheets came out fine, then the fourth got jammed and the whole machine started smoking and melted the pouch onto my hand. Lost $60 on the unit plus $25 in pouches, and had to hand-write 40 menus on index cards at 6am. Anyone else ever have a budget gadget fail at the worst possible time?
