The $75 parking meter app mistake that had me fuming in Dallas

Honestly, I thought I was being smart using that parking app downtown last Tuesday. I prepaid for 2 hours at $75 because the meter said max time was 30 minutes otherwise, and I figured I'd avoid a ticket during my meeting. Turns out the app charged me twice, once for each hour block, and then my meeting ran short so I left with 50 minutes still on the clock. Support said no refunds for unused time, so I just lit $40 on fire basically. Has anyone else gotten burned by those dynamic pricing apps, or do you just feed the physical meters still?
