The moment I realized my garden hose was the problem
Was watering my tomatoes last Tuesday and the hose kinked for the tenth time, almost snapping a plant. Switched to a rubber hose instead of that cheap vinyl one and finished watering in half the time. Anyone else dealt with cheap hoses ruining their setup?

Why are you blaming the hose instead of just learning how to manage it better? I've had the same cheap vinyl hose for three years and it only kinks if I'm careless about how I lay it out. A little patience and proper coiling would save you the money you wasted on a rubber upgrade.

Just lay the hose out straight before turning on the water, that's what solved it for me.

Heard the fittings are what usually fail first on those cheap hoses, not just the kinking.
