TIL a guy in my local coffee shop said he only posts in the 'Chatter Lounge' to argue with people
He was telling his friend he goes there to pick fights about the most random stuff, like the best font for forum posts. It made me wonder if half the 'hot takes' there are just people trying to start something. Do you think some regulars are just there to stir the pot?

Honestly that explains so much. The cereal debate guy is probably just sitting there laughing while we all type paragraphs about milk.

Totally believe it. I've seen people start huge fights over whether you should put milk or cereal in the bowl first. They'll act like it's a life or death debate just to get a reaction. Makes you question every opinion you read, like that guy who insists comic sans is actually good for accessibility. Now I just assume some folks are bored and want to watch the chaos.
