Unpopular opinion: people who obsess over finding the perfect chatter lounge chair are missing the point

I've been using a cheap folding chair from a garage sale for 8 years and it works fine, while my buddy spent $400 on some ergonomic mesh thing and still complains about his back after 45 minutes.

Is it really that big of a deal though? Seems like people just like what they like, and a chair is a chair.

Yeah but come on. A chair being a chair doesn't mean a $3,000 one can't be a total waste of money. How much do you think the average person should spend on something they just sit in before it stops being worth it?

Bet my buddy's expensive lounge chair is great for sitting in the ER waiting room after I fall asleep on it for 30 minutes and tweak my neck.
