The frozen veggie bag I stopped buying after checking the math

I always grabbed the store brand frozen mixed vegetables because it felt like the cheapest route. Then I did the per pound math at the Smart & Final in Sacramento last month and it was actually pricier than buying fresh carrots and celery on sale, plus the bag was 60% carrots and corn fillers. You pay for water weight and convenience, and the portion it makes is smaller than you think. Anyone else find a 'cheap' item that secretly costs more per serving than the fresh version?
