The week I ate like a queen on 22 bucks total

Last Tuesday I had like 4 bucks left before payday and a fridge with basically nothing. I grabbed a bag of lentils, a sack of potatoes, and some frozen spinach for under 5 dollars total. That turned into three dinners, plus I had leftover rice from a takeout night. Then on Thursday I found a clearance rotisserie chicken for 2.50 and stretched it into sandwiches, soup, and a quesadilla situation. Honestly that week tasted better than some meals I've paid 15 bucks for. Does anyone else have a go-to combo when money is tight but you still want something that feels like real food?

That clearance rotisserie chicken for 2.50 is the kind of win that makes you feel like you beat the system. I gotta ask though, how much prep time did that week actually take, like were you cooking every single night or did you batch out a couple hours one day? Because that's always the part that kills me when money's tight, finding the energy to cook when you're already stressed about the budget.
