TIL my "budget" pasta was actually costing me triple

Honestly, I used to buy those 90 cent boxes of flavored pasta mix and add ground beef. Thought I was saving big. Then last month I did the math and each serving came to like $2.30, plus the sodium was brutal. Now I buy a 2 pound bag of dry spaghetti for $1.50 and make a sauce from canned tomatoes and dried herbs. It comes out to about 45 cents a bowl and tastes way better. Has anyone else realized their convenience meals were secretly the expensive option?

Did your friend happen to eat a whole box of mac and cheese before checking the receipt too?
