Vent: A 14-top birthday party walked in 15 minutes before close last Friday.

We had already broken down the grill station, so I had to fire it back up with just the flat top hot. Anyone else have a good system for handling those last-minute big groups?

Honestly, breaking down a station 15 minutes before close seems a bit early to me. Tbh most places I know keep things running until the posted closing time. It's annoying for sure, but it's also kinda part of the job when you're open.

Right, it's just lazy to shut down early like that.

Is it really that big of a deal though? Tbh, if they're closing in 15 minutes, they're probably trying to clean up and get out on time. Ngl, I've been the last customer somewhere and felt rushed, but I get it. Their shift is basically over. It's not like they're locking the door early, they're just getting a head start. Feels like people just want something to complain about sometimes.
