My neighbor in Phoenix said one shade tree would cut my July power bill, and she was right, down $38
She told me this two summers ago when I was complaining about a $210 bill, and I finally planted a mesquite that spring. Last month the bill came in at $172 with the same AC settings, so it seems like it's really working. Has anyone else tracked actual savings from a single tree, or is that just a lucky month?
