Remember when getting a new car meant just picking gas or diesel?
Back in 2018, my old sedan finally died and I had to choose. It was between a used gas SUV my brother-in-law was selling for $8,000 or taking the plunge on a used electric car I found online. I went with the electric one, a 2015 Nissan Leaf. The first year was rough, figuring out charging spots and range anxiety on longer trips to my sister's place in the next county. But after three years, I can't imagine going back. My electric bill went up maybe $30 a month, but I'm not dropping $60 at the pump every week. It feels weird to think that just a few years ago, electric felt like a weird choice, and now it's just my normal car. Anyone else make a switch like that and have a rough adjustment period before it clicked?

Honestly, I still think gas is way easier for most people. The charging time alone would drive me nuts.

Honestly, plugging in at home means I never think about charging.

People get used to new routines faster than they think they will.
