That $600 heat pump water heater I installed last winter cut my electric bill by half in three months

I was skeptical because the upfront cost hurt but the first month's savings were $45 and now I'm wondering why I didn't swap out the old gas unit sooner, has anyone else seen that kind of drop or was my old water heater just that bad?

For me, I think your old gas unit was probably just really inefficient because my savings weren't that dramatic.
