That heatwave in Phoenix made my solar panels work too well

Last July we hit 118 degrees and my array actually throttled down for three days because the panels got so hot they lost efficiency. I ended up using more grid power than usual during peak AC hours, which felt backwards. Has anyone else dealt with this weird high temp solar dip, or did I just get unlucky with my setup?

Heard some solar folks say panels actually work best around 77 degrees, so yeah, that dip sounds totally normal for Phoenix heat.
