A guy at the tool crib in Toledo asked me to cut a 'perfect circle' out of a napkin
He was dead serious, holding up a paper napkin and pointing at our big 5-axis mill. I told him the coolant would turn it to mush before the first pass... he just shrugged and said 'Worth a shot, right?' Has anyone else gotten a request that made you just stop and stare?

Honestly, "dead serious" about a napkin on a 5-axis mill? That has to be a prank.

Calling it a prank misses the point. It's about pushing a machine to its absolute limit, and that's a real challenge.
