Dropped $210 on a used Kurt vise for my benchtop mill and it changed how I hold parts

I ran a cheap drill press vise on my little benchtop mill for two years and fought chatter and parts shifting on every job. Last month I found a used Kurt D40 on marketplace for $210 and the difference was night and day, no more shimming and roughing cuts sound clean now. Anyone else think a good vise matters more than the machine itself?
