That's a solid run. Those old VF-2s are basically tanks. Bet you've only done basic upkeep and it just keeps making chips. Makes you wonder why we even bother with the newest models sometimes.

Our shop's 2008 VF-2 needed a new spindle at year ten, which wasn't cheap. Averymartin is right they're tough, but the older ones do have parts that eventually give out. The new models at least give you better speed to make up for the cost.

Oh man, my buddy's 2006 VF-2 just had the same thing happen, totally proving @averymartin's tank point.
