Paid $600 for a 5-axis post processor and it gave me garbage toolpaths for a month
Everyone says buy the premium post, but mine still crashed two parts before I realized the stock setup was wrong for my Haas. Anyone else had to tweak a pricey post more than they expected?

Sounded about right. Spent 700 on a post for our Mazak and still had to dig through the parameters for two days to get the toolpath to stop doing weird loops. Guess the premium just gets you in the door.

My buddy Dave bought a $500 post for his Okuma and spent a whole Saturday fixing the retract moves.
