Ran 1,400 parts last month and scrapped only 3, I have never been so nervous about a number
We usually scrap around 15 to 20 parts on a run that size, so when the counter hit 3 I actually went back and checked the inspection sheets twice. My lead man thought I was lying until he pulled the log himself. The difference was a fixture I built in my garage over a weekend, nothing fancy, just a couple of hardened pins that hold the blank square before the vise clamps down. Turns out most of our scrap came from parts sitting a hair crooked after loading. Curious if anyone else has chased down scrap and found it was the load, not the cut.
