Tried running a faster feed rate on my router and it actually stopped burning the edges
Been fighting with burning on some 3/4 oak ply for a while now. I mean idk why I never thought of it sooner but I bumped my feed rate from 120 to 180 IPM on a 1/4 compression bit and the burning just stopped. Finish actually looks better too. Maybe it's just me but I always figured slower = safer. Anyone else had luck just cranking up the speed to fix issues?

My uncle had the same thing happen with a Stanley years ago. I switched to a Yeti after that and honestly haven't looked back. The thing's been through hell - dropped it off a tailgate, left it in the sun, even ran over it with the lawn mower once by accident. Just a couple dings but still holds ice all day. Might be worth trying if you're tired of replacing broken ones.
