Warning: My 3-month-old end mills went dull in under 50 parts after I switched coolant brands

Man I had this exact thing happen with a batch of 1/4 single-flute end mills I was running in aluminum. Switched from Trim MicroSol 585 to some house brand stuff and got maybe 30 good parts before the edges were gone... it was night and day compared to the 200+ parts I was getting before. Turned out the new coolant had way lower lubricity and wasn't handling the chip evacuation right at all. I ended up bumping my coolant concentration up to 10% and adding a small mist of air on the cut to help clear chips, that got me back to about 150 parts per tool. Might be worth checking your concentration first before you dump the whole batch of coolant though.

Wait, 30 parts?! That's insane. How do you even go from 200+ down to 30 just from switching coolant brands? That's a massive drop.
